강원도 평창 - 오대산 둘레길 걷기여행(월정사, 상원사, 진부, 단풍여행)

지난 가을에는 오대산 월정사 둘레길을 다녀왔습니다.
오대산 월정산 둘레길은 가을에 아름다운 단풍길로 매우 유명합니다.
그래서 주말이면 사람들이 매우 많습니다. 그래서 글쓴이는 다행이 시간이 생겨 주중에 다녀왔는데, 날씨도 좋고 단풍도 매우 아름다웠습니다.
오대산을 검색창에서 검색하면 홍천군으로 나오는데 월정사와 상원사를 가기 위해서는 평창으로 가야합니다. 월정사로 검색을 해보면 평창군으로 나오는 것을 확인할 수 있습니다. 평창은 지난 2018년에 동계올림픽을 개최한 곳으로도 유명한 곳입니다. 평창군 일대를 드라이브하다 보면 지난 동계올림픽을 했던 흔적들을 곳곳에서 발견하실 수 있습니다. 또한 평창군 읍내에 식사를 위해서 들렸던 기억을 되짚어보면, 음식점들의 간판들이 매우 잘 정돈 되어있고 가게 앞에 판매하고 있는 음식의 이름과 가격이 자세하게 나와 있어 관광하기에 좋은 곳이라는 인상을 심어 주었습니다. 글쓴이는 월정사 둘레길에 앞서 위에서 말했듯이 평창읍내에서 식사를 하였습니다. 국밥 종류의 밥을 먹었는데, 평창군에서 고랭지 배추가 생산되고 있어서 배추 김치의 맛이 많이 기억이 납니다. 여러분들도 둘레길을 걷기 전에 읍내에 들러 꼭 식사를 하시고 가시면 더욱 즐거운 여행길이 되실거라 생각합니다.

다시 본론으로 넘어와서 이제 평창 오대산 둘레길을 여행하는 방법을 알아보겠습니다.
가시는 방법은 크게 두 가지가 있습니다. 첫 번째로는 차를 가지고 가셔서 월정사 앞에 주차하신 다음에 월정사 앞에서 버스를 타고 상원사 또는 상원사 전 까지 올라간 다음 내려오시거나, 월정사에서부터 올라가셔서 상원사 또는 그 전까지 올라가시다가 내려오는 버스를 타시면 3시간에서 5시간 정도의 코스로 둘레길을 걸으며 가을 단풍을 만끽하실 수 있습니다.
저는 월정사에 주차를 해 놓고 상원사와 월정사의 중간 정도 위치까지 버스를 타고 올라간 다음에 다시 월정사 까지 걸어 내려오는 방법으로 둘레길을 걸으며 여행했습니다. 걸어 내려오는 내내 경사가 완만하고 경치가 매우 아름다워 즐거운 여행을 할 수 있었습니다.
두 번째 방법은 버스 또는 기차를 타고 오셔서 진부시외버스터미널에서 버스를 타고 월정사 또는 상원사 까지 이동하신다음 둘레길을 걸으시는 방법이 있습니다. 진부시외버스터미널에서 월정사 까지는 약 25분이 소요되므로 참고하시기 바랍니다.
월정사에서 상원사까지 편도로 이동하게 되면 약 5시간 정도 소요되는 것으로 예상됩니다.
위와 같은 방법이 있으므로 각자 건강상태와 스케쥴에 맞추어 즐거운 여행을 하시면 좋겠습니다. 개인적으로는 버스를 타고 상원사 또는 중간 부분까지 올라가서 걸어내려 오시는 것을 추천합니다. 많은 사람들이 산에 갔으니 상원사 까지 올라가서 버스를 타고 내려오는 코스를 선택하시는데 상원사에서 타는 버스에 너무 많은 사람들이 몰리는 경우가 많습니다. 따라서 여유롭게 여행을 즐기고 싶으신 분들은 올라가는 경사 내려오는 경사 모두 완만하기 때문에 위에서부터 걸어내려 오시면서 둘레길을 여행하시면 즐거운 여행이 될 것 같습니다.
